December 2004

  • Ian Marlow invited me to his crib in Pine Brook, NJ, just to check it out. It’s a bigtime party house and even has a digital player piano that plays along with the CD somehow. Anyway, it’s cool.
  • Steve and Amy Lane had their second child a few months ago. Their daughter is named Morgan.
  • Eric and Kris Park moved back to Eric’s hometown of Meriden, CT and have started their own veterinary clinic. They were also featured on the front page of the Meriden newspaper. Kris said that she’d be more likely to run into clients in the grocery store in Meriden, CT than in Phoenix, AZ. I guess that means Meriden is good.

November 2004

  • I got a new job back at Prudential in New Jersey, instead of Independence Community Bank in Brooklyn.
  • Chris Blain moved to Jamaica Plain, MA, and Ian Marlow moved to Pine Brook, NJ.
  • Rumors still persist that the Red Sox won the World Series. I’m still looking into it. My suspicion is that it’s just a modern-day myth, like the Loch Ness Monster.

October 2004

The Red Sox won the World Series.

September 2004

  • Karl Oestreich has accepted the position of secretary for the fraternity’s International Headquarters.
  • The kitchen at the fraternity house has been newly renovated, thanks in large part to alumni donations. Thanks to the alumni who donated. The updated figures on on the Kitchen Fundraiser page of this website.
  • I have finally posted the much-requested pictures of the new kitchen. It looks pretty much like the old kitchen, only it’s newer.
  • Thanks to Mark Grucza for the following updates: “Talked with Jim Carlson ‘79 yesterday. He was up in Boston and saw Artie Maitland and John McManus (also both ‘79) and they are doing fine. Jim works for a company that makes evaporation equipment and we worked together on a project up in Grandview, Washington.”

August 2004

  • Greg Recine has earned his PhD from Stevens Tech and will soon move to Virginia to work at UVA.
  • Pete Michels’ job took him back to the Capital District. Now he has no excuse for missing alumni weekend.
