Look what I found on youtube. How? I did a search for “exploding fish party.” http://youtube.com/watch?v=d4fY-_S272o (The soundtrack has adult language, so turn down the volume if children are in the room. Why are children in the room in the first place? Tell them to go outside and get some fresh air.)
Ian Marlow is a 32-year-old wunderkind, according to at least one trade publication. He is the CIO of Gale Company, among other impressive titles. The secret to his success is that he says “leverage” a lot when he’s interviewed. He is also getting married in early July.
Florin Neamtu and his wife, Danielle, are expecting their first child in August.
- Red Sox fan and otherwise good guy Mark Grucza sends an update for himself and for Rich Anderson: “I saw Rich Anderson ‘82 out in Kansas City. … He is retired from the Navy, and is back in KC training Army majors, just getting paid a lot more for it. … I’m heading up to RPI with John Zawada ‘82 for our 25th reunion. I can’t believe it’s been that long. We’ll stop by the house to see what’s up there. I haven’t been by in about 15 years. Time can get away from you.”
- If you cross the George Washington Bridge, wave to Hector Luis Eugui III: “Beginning 4/30/07, I begin my new job at the GWB. My office will be on the NJ side of the bridge in FT. Lee NJ. I hope to see all of you there one day (most of you will cross the bridge eventually).”
- I missed alumni weekend and have been able to figure out a few things. The boiler is still broken, but will hopefully be fixed in the next few weeks. The weather was nice. Lots pretty young ladies danced provocatively when the Pi Lam band played.
- Todd Hayes sent in the following pictures of Pat Dicaprio. The short story is that he chugged down a bowl of blue cheese dressing for $100. Todd added, “As you can imagine, all of my co-workers were impressed that I have such ‘cool’ friends.” Good to see Pat putting his RPI degree to such good use.
- Dave Stark ‘75 sent in the following good news: “Well, my son sat down and thought about it last night, and made up his mind about which college to attend. The Stark family is going to have another RPI grad! Now we’ll have to wait and see if he decides on fraternity life or the life of a ‘GDI.’ “
- Alumni weekend will be the weekend of April 20 -22. Please see the Pentagon link for further information.
